Connect Facebook: Complete Guide

This guide explains how to connect a Facebook Page, which permissions you need, and what features become available after the connection.

Before you start

To connect a Facebook Page, you must have an admin role on the personal profile that manages that page. You can check this in Facebook under Manage Page > Settings > Page Roles. Other roles cannot be used for the connection.

Connecting personal profiles or creator profiles is not supported.

Add the page

  1. Open another browser tab or window and log out of Facebook.

  2. From the platform, open the connections dashboard.

  3. Click Connect Page. A Facebook pop-up window appears.

  4. Log in to your personal Facebook account and grant access to the platform. This does not connect the personal profile. It only authorizes access to the Pages managed by that profile.

  5. Select the Facebook Page you want to connect from the list of pages where you are an administrator.

  • If your Facebook Page is linked to an Instagram account, that Instagram account connects automatically.

If you manage many Facebook Pages, especially for clients, it is better for each administrator to connect their own pages. If Facebook later revokes permissions, fewer pages need to be reconnected.

To connect a Facebook Page from the iOS mobile app, you must accept tracking permissions. Otherwise, the connection fails.

If your page does not appear or the connection does not work, see I can't connect Facebook.
